EncoreEast are thrilled that Home from Home, our groundbreaking project, will feature as the cover story in January’s issue of ‘Animated’, the magazine published by People Dancing.

The article ‘More Than Just a Number?’ asks questions about dance and age, some of which were answered by Home from Home, and concludes with a message from artistic director Luca Silvestrini that we wish for dancers everywhere:

“May your dancing life continue to surprise you and inspire others.”

Both the paper and digital versions of Animated will be available from 17 January. After that date, members of People Dancing will receive a paper copy, and anyone can access the digital version on the People Dancing website: https://www.communitydance.org.uk/DB/animated-library/winter-2024-digital-edition?ed=47419

Home from Home is a creative collaboration of 44 dancers over 50, directed by renowned choreographer Luca Silvestrini, devised and produced by EncoreEast. It is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, and co-commissioned by EncoreEast, DanceEast, The Place and Norwich Theatre. The project involves four companies EncoreEast, Cadenza, Damn Fine Dance and The Place Dancers.
