Our Practice
We are committed to developing as dancers, providing employment opportunities to dance artists and challenging expectations. Since becoming independent in 2020, we have been taught by a variety of dance artists and enjoy being challenged by different styles. Please get in-touch if you would like to work with us in the future.
EncoreEast dancers have been part of dance films with Protein Dance and New Adventures and have created and performed indoors, outdoors and on film. We are proud of our new works created with financial support from Arts Council England and Suffolk Community Fund. We have been privileged to work with some wonderful choreographers: see our Projects page for details.
In 2023, with financial support from Arts Council England, we will be working on an ambitious project in collaboration with Protein Dance, Damn Fine Dance, Cadenza, DanceEast, The Place and Norwich Theatres. It will culminate in the creation of a new work, led by Luca Silvestrini artistic director of Protein Dance, to be performed in Ipswich, Norwich and London. Sign up to our Newsletter for more information and opportunities to get involved.
Our core desire is to learn with curiosity and see where it takes us. Reaching out to others we are excited to dance, play, research and perform.
