EncoreEast is thrilled to be working with Ollie for the Autumn term and couldn’t resist sharing another open workshop. Ollie has taught several open workshops with EncoreEast. He started his dance training at DanceEast CAT Scheme in Ipswich, and went on to gain his First Class Honours Degree at Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds gaining a distinction in his Masters through London Contemporary Dance School. He has worked as both dancer and teacher with James Wilton Dance Company. Taking inspirations from martial art styles and gymnastic influences whilst maintaining a strong contemporary technique, Ollie’s workshops include warm up, leading into short phrases and ways of finding reach and quality in moving into, across and out of the floor. His teaching style is kind and considerate, and the most frequent response from participants is surprise at what they can do, and how much they enjoyed the session. The workshop is organised by EncoreEast with thanks to DanceEast. Pay what you can, suggested donation £15.
