Me, My Body and I

Created as part of Protein 21 Reimagine. A national programme of new work inspired by the company’s repertory, celebrating Luca Silvestrini’s Protein 21 anniversary. This piece is a reimagining of Dear Body made in 2008.  EncoreEast were partway through the original re-imagining with Stuart Waters when the first national lockdown closed DanceEast’s studios.  Working together Protein and DanceEast created a new life for the project that saw the EncoreEast dancers filming their individual responses to choreographic tasks set by Stuart for their bathrooms, bedrooms kitchens and outdoor spaces.
