Some thoughts from an old dancer by Sarah Jackson

Some thoughts from an old dancer by Sarah Jackson

What do you see

Grey hair

Glasses

An unpredictable back

Wrinkles aka smile lines

A wardrobe full of stretchy fabrics and sensible shoes

Purple

cook

gardener

walker

cyclist

reader

yogi

someone with time

time…………….

to grow the food to cook

to feel the ground under her feet

to free wheel down the hills

to listen

to breathe

to be

with her children

to cuddle her grandchildren

to indulge her mum

do you see

that I am almost invisible

that I nearly died

my dancer has been buried

Now restless

Just beginning to move

She is nervous

But I think she might have something to say

maybe
