Ollie Robertson reflects on his workshop with EncoreEast and friends

This was the second workshop I had led for EncoreEast, and what a development it was on the previous, shorter session. Having a solid three hours this time helped us to explore more depth in techniques and movement qualities when learning both class exercises and James Wilton repertoire.

The turnout of movers was also more than last time. As a result, the energy in the space felt even higher than before. Curious, inquisitive, and adaptive are words that spring to mind when reflecting on the atmosphere we created on that Sunday afternoon.

Serious, improvements were made throughout the three hours, raising the question of what could be achieved with more time on the next occasion. This I really look forward to. Until next time….
